"How dare you talk about the North Indian domination?
The fact is quite the reverse. For, it is the South
that is now dominating over the North!" says Hon'ble
C.Subramanian, the Finance Minister, and being also
the Education Minister, he is ready with his reason.
It seems that, Iddili and Thosai, are now being liked
by the North, very much. And because, of this, the South
is able to establish its ascendency over the North.
For, when once the North gets into the habit of taking
Iddilis and Thosais with of course the Chutni and Sambar,
then it has to be at the beck and call of the South!
North may boast about its steel plants, coal mines'
its dams and factories; but without Iddilis and Thosais,
is life worth living? And the Finance Minister knows
how to establish the Southern domination. Just at the
moment when those at the North crave for Iddilis, the
Minister would say, Oh! No! No more Indilis! What could
they in the North do? They would come on their bended
knees, beg of him—just two more Iddilis and a spoonful
of chutni, minister dear! —they would plead, and that
would be the proper time for the minister to present
his demands! Those in the North would affix their signature
at the dotted line! Take Bhakra, but please favour us
with a dozen Iddilis! Give us but your tasty. 'Chutni',
we are prepared to hand over Chitharanjan to you! They
would offer anything—submit to any order issued by the
minister for having tasted the Iddili with Chutni, how
could they forget!
So, please do not talk high politics—Minister Subramanian
has found out the best method for conquering the North.
A dozen Iddili stalls are enough!!
How fertile ought to be the brain of this minister of
ours—and how very easily has he found out a solution
for this vexed political problem!
Having been asked to speak before an audience interested
in 'Hotels,' the Finance Minister, unfolded his unique
discovery! It is the South that has established its
domination over the North—through its Iddilis and Thosais!
People talk about decentralisation, provincial autonomy
and such other political terms —forgetting this simple
fact, that here is a minister, who is determined to
establish the supremacy of the South by Iddilis and
Thosais!!
Jai Iddili! Jai Thosai!! Jai, Chutni, Sambar and Subramaniam
too!!
What all the Hon'ble minister has to do, is simply open
a decent hotel in New Delhi! As Minister of Publicity,
he knows how to push up such ventures. Subramania Vilas,
Specialists in Iddili and Thosai.
or
Two Iddilis with Chutni, enough to make you forget inflation
and impending crises.
We need not to suggest much —a hint is enough for the
Publicity Minister. A decent Hotel at Delhi—and the
Northerners would come to terms with the Finance Minister.
He need not plead for more funds, and get a stiff, 'No'
as the reply! What he has not been able to achieve through
his arguments—he would achieve through Iddilis and Thosais.
We are awaiting to witness, with pardonable pride, the
grand opening ceremony of
Subramania Vilas
at
New Delhi
When politics is so easy, why call for Conferences and
Consultative Committees?
